Enjoyably, the three artists take on distinctly different, yet equally effective approaches. Dannic, Hardwell’s fast-improving protege adopts a melodic style in the spirit of the original, and does so to fantastic effect, perhaps coming close to even outdoing Romero’s effort. Gregor Salto for mine, has been one of the standout artists of 2012, and continues his incredible capability to create terrifically enigmatic and unique percussive sounds, while adding a tantalizing touch of low end madness in the drop to deliver the hardest-hitting contender in the package. Dillon Francis has exponentially furthered his brand moombahton in the past 12 months. While this mix does not feature the same dubstep influences of some of his other work, it nonetheless incorporates a decreased bpm and pitched vocals, along with interesting drumlines to create a great product.
